You put a LS1 engine into a 240sx, you will literally see the front wheels come off the pavement. The s14 platform is a better chassis than most imports.
There are arguments about Supras vs 240sxs. My opinion is that the lightweight frame of the s14 w/ a LS1 engine will beat most imports in a straight line. Most muscle cars as well.
The s14 was not intended to be a sports car, but that does not mean it cant be modified into one. GREAT POST

@GreenLanern drifting yes the 240 is USED widely but to own an 84-87 corolla means more possibility..1/2jz swaps are more advanced than just a skyline motor in a 240 IMO…Not that skylines arnt the shit its just that ive seen too many stationed in yokota…

I rebuild motors and trans but I don’t set gears.
something I plan on learning but haven’t got around to trying yet. But you should add in $40-$150 for instalation if you have the diff out of the car and alot more if you don’t do any mechanic work yourself.
Anyways you can’t go wrong leaving Open for LSD but there are tons of different types some are more aggressive than others.
The ones found in Zs and Js are non aggressive very good for daily drivers and part time track.

Or you can go used like I did and get LSD out of a J30 95-97 are direct bolt ups and cheap I got a whole subframe for $250 at a local junk yard but that is a brake upgrade and 5 lug conversion for the rear plus stronger traction arms.
So I got alot of parts for $250
Q45 have way too high ratio and Zs require new output shafts.

these cars both were in turbo magazine, and they are both owned by jamaicans and no they did not steal them. they get u and go to work every single day and work hard for what they have. Both of these cars took many years to build and now have reached perfection. The red one did a 10.1 around? christmas at moroso. They guy that owns the red one owns a shop called premiere performance in hollywood florida where he works on many celebrities cars.
