Consumer Reports Summary for the Subaru Impreza

In the early years of the Subaru Impreza started out as a good car that has the consumer can buy for a cheap price, but with new models coming almost every year, the Impreza has developed into a reliable and fast cars, limousine on the market. In fact, it was recommended by 2008, the Impreza a consumer reports vehicle. And it’s still a fairly affordable to buy. Although the Honda Civic still in first place in sales of $ 20,000 for the saloon and in cars, the Impreza was with “the most fun to drive” for several years in a row. Another thing that stands out from the competition, the Impreza’s all-wheel drive. With energy going on all wheels, the Impreza has been described as a car that sticks to the road like glue, and handles corners very well. Combined with a short break, making it a very reliable vehicle. In addition to affordability, safety and all-wheel-drive Impreza is also fast enough to compete in the race. This is one reason why some consumers like car they drive so much, Disadvantages In spite of all the things that consumers are on the Impreza, are definitely a few drawbacks that keep coming up in Consumer Reports. For example, gas mileage is not so great. On the highway, the Impreza could be as much as 25-mpg in the city, and it could as much as 19 mpg. In a world with rising gas prices and global warming, 25-mpg is nothing to brag about. Another common complaint is that the Impreza is ugly. Subaru has already made considerable efforts to alleviate this problem and the look is still a rather subjective quality. Third, many consumers believe that is closely in the back seat. Subaru has made the interior more spacious, over the years, but the complaint is still tight. Compared to more fuel-efficient cars like the Smart car, the Impreza feels like a mansion though. And finally, when the Impreza need repairs, they can be very costly. In fact, in 2003, Subaru had the highest warranty repair costs. You will not perhaps be able to do something about gasoline consumption, can space and appearance, but as a consumer, you reduce repair costs by ordering discount Subaru Impreza parts online. If you know the part number searches can quickly and easily, as well as general descriptions of a particular part can help you the replacement part you need.

Subaru Impreza Versus the Mitsubishi Evo. Are they starting to show its age?

The first came in 1992, Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru Impreza quickly followed him a year later. From this point on these cars rivals, which often would have been locking horns on both the tough stages of the World Rally Championship, in the pub and brag missions was better than the raging debate on, the Impreza or Evo.

On paper, both cars appeared identical, both had 2-liter turbo engines, both had permanent four-wheel drive and through the many variations that followed the two became more conspicuous wing spoiler and flared wheel arches.

No matter which one of these Japanese Street rockets Finally favors, was the general consensus of opinion, for a lap on the track, the angular Mitsubishi Evo was much more fun. But for the trip to and from the track you would stick with the more comfortable, but how can Subaru Impreza.

Unfortunately, while both the Impreza and Evo were born to make clear on the demanding gravel, asphalt and mud roads have the word rally stage to compete, both manufacturers are now withdrawn from the competition, and the reputation and respect that it once was lost is. After all, could, where else do you see your favorite car to win a round of the World Rally Championship at the weekend, and then with the same version for your Monday morning commute.

Since its glory days after hatching rally of the past, Mitsubishi and Subaru will start new versions of their legendary road cars published in the form of the Evo X and Subaru Sti. However, the time is there to start the four-door supercar eater? Especially now, as the front-wheel drive hot hatch appears to be such a resurgence.

While Mitsubishi has continued with the four door sedan theme, Subaru has boldly branched, and is a gasoline engine in the new Impreza. Time will tell whether this was a wise move, however, prepared by the powerful xenon headlight bulbs on the front of their high winged spoiler on the rear, both cars still look to focus on a rally stage and, above all, both cars have humiliating performance and handling of exotic machinery.

Unfortunately, the press has not been too good to one of these new versions, and many believe that previous generations of both the Evo and Impreza drivers offered more commitment and joy. This problem was through the new selection of hot hatch, Ford, Opel and Renault, have similar levels of performance for a lot less fuss provide strengthened.

The latest Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evo are still incredible cars, but they no longer have the field to itself and as automakers try to save their output, we can begin to see these niche models to disappear.
